The Thnot Community Project Intern supports the Special Projects Department in coordinating and implementing field activities for the Thnot community development initiative. The role assists the Project Manager in community engagement, field data collection, agricultural support, and documentation, in line with CONFIREL's sustainability and community standards.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Community Engagement & Field Operations
• Conduct community meetings and consultations with farmers and local stakeholders.
• Facilitate farmer training sessions, workshops, and field demonstrations.
• Participate in provincial field missions and community visits.
2. Agricultural & Technical Support
• Monitor and document agricultural plots and community farming activities.
• Provide basic technical guidance on good agricultural practices (GAP).
• Support crop assessments, sample collection, and field measurements.
3. Documentation & Reporting
• Collect field data through surveys, interviews, and observation.
• Prepare field reports, meeting minutes, and attendance records.
• Maintain organized project records and support progress reporting.
4. Coordination & Administration
• Coordinate logistics for field trips, materials, and community events.
• Liaise with local authorities and community leaders as directed.
• Support general administrative tasks within the department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Community Development, Rural Development, or a related field.
• Fresh graduate; field experience with farmers or rural communities is an advantage.
• Exposure to NGO or agri-food community projects is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for community engagement.
• Basic data collection, report writing in Khmer and/or English.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Willing to travel to rural and provincial areas; physically fit for fieldwork.
• Male candidate; detail-oriented, proactive, honest, and a team player.
