Confirel is a local company founded in 2001 by Dr. Hay Ly Eang, CEO of the company and principle shareholder.

October 2001: After several years' of opportunity research and market analyzing, Dr. Hay with the group of Khmer technicians, CIRAD (International Cooperation center of Agronomic Research and Development) and RITT-IDF created the Confirel Co., Ltd.

From 2002 to 2003: Confirel imagine the production process and distribution and moved to pilot stage. In 2003, the production was stopped and the company closes down their activities for structuring reasons.

In early 2004: Confirel was restructured by its founder Dr. Hay. Since that, the company was equipped and moved from the "pilot stage" into "full production." Confirel moved to a new location with bigger space and more appropriate facilities. More staffs at all level were recruited in order to support the growing market demand with responsibility. The business strategy is oriented toward export and distribution "Business to Business" in national market was set up. In November 2004, Confirel has won the GMS-BF Golden Award from Greater Mekong Sub-Region and Asian development Bank (ADB) for its contribution to social and economic development in Cambodia.

2005: Confirel also won the Corporate Citizenship Award (Environmental Stewardship) from IFC/MPDF and Ministry of Commerce. Moreover, Confirel won a prize of "Palme d'Or" at Natexpo 2005 and a category "Bien se nourir" organized in Paris (France) in November 2005.
